It is really simple to follow, it is radically different than anything people try to sell to you and it will make you smarter, stronger, full of energy, radiant and truly healthy.

  

Of course, it is not without it's challenges. Stated simply, the whole plan consists of eating clean, organic foods to the complete exclusion of anything processed. That means no sugar or sugar substitutes, except Stevia, Xylitol and erythritol. EVEN THESE SHOULD BE GREATLY RESTRICTED OR ELIMINATED, IF POSSIBLE. I will explain more about that later. Let's consider what happens to your body as you make the change.
   Organic foods are more satisfying to your body because they meet it's need for nutrition. Therefore you eat less. Because you eat less, the cost of organic food is not so bad and your caloric intake is greatly reduced.  All processed foods put your body on a metabolic roller coaster.   Refined carbohydrate foods are rapidly digested and absorbed, and they tend to elevate your blood glucose level very quickly. This causes your pancreas to produce more insulin to prevent your blood glucose from getting too high, which sets up a scenario for your liver to secrete triglyceride-rich lipoproteins and subsequent triglyceride deposition in your fatty tissues. In turn, an increase in your fat mass will tend to lower your basal metabolic rate. 
   The thermic effect of food, also called specific dynamic action or diet-induced thermogenesis accounts for about 10 percent of your daily total energy expenditure. Meals that are more complex, which require more work by your gastrointestinal tract and other digestive organs, greater enzyme production and more secondary metabolism in your liver have a higher energetic cost than less complex meals. Your energy expenditure due to a thermic effect after consuming a refined carbohydrate or processed food meal may be only about one-half of that after consuming a whole-food meal containing complex carbohydrates and dietary fiber. Greater thermic effect equals more caloric burn in the digestive process, so the more complex carbs (unrefined vegetables, fruit without added sugar) means less fatty tissue accumulation. That is what we are looking for in food consumption. 
   This information is just the tip of the iceberg.  Consider this, most of the food you buy at the grocery store, particularly boxed, prepared foods are loaded with chemical additives to enhance their taste, give them a long shelf life and appeal to your desire for a quick and easy meal preparation. Additionally, their ingredients are usually genetically modified.  ALL OF THIS CAUSES EXCESSIVE WEIGHT GAIN AND IS A HAZARD TO YOUR HEALTH!!!  What's worse is many of you know this, but somehow believe you are immune to these dangerous foods. We also eat way too much restaurant food. They are notorious for serving cheap food, at high prices,  loaded with flavor and aroma enhancers. They have no regard for your health and it is almost certain the veggies they serve are pesticide laden and genetically modified.
   You spend money on diet foods, that incorporate many of these dangerous foods or you buy equally dangerous diet pills and wonder why they don't work.
   This diet works every time and you become dramatically healthier in a very short while, not to mention the kind of weight loss that really incorporates a lifestyle change that enables you to keep the weight off.
   The reason  you are better off not consuming anything sweet is because your body loves it. The more you give it, the more it wants.  (No surprise, right?)  But maybe what you don't know is that your body develops a ferocious appetite for it, demanding more and more. Even sweeteners like Stevia feed the demand, though they do not have the same dangerous effects. What has happened is that you have trained your body to demand more and more sugar, much like the body thinks it has to store up fat, because you often overeat. Subconsciously, your body is staying in survival mode. You need to give your body what it needs, not what it wants, because you have spoiled it with poor eating habits. when your body is satisfied and feeling it's needs are met, the desire to store up fat is normalized.
   An example of this is when you have completely eliminated all sweets, your taste buds suddenly realize all organic foods contain sugar and you taste the sweetness in foods you never before considered sweet. It is a satisfying sweetness. No longer is a great volume of food required to meet that desire for sweetness. Your body switches off the survival mode and enters contentment mode, burning the calories it gets at each meal and dipping in to fat stores as needed by work, play and exercise. In this mode, even very moderate exercise slowly reduces fat stores. Vigorous exercise pulls it off quickly. 
   Water is as effective as food to satisfy your hunger. Keeping your body hydrated is crucial to your staying in the contentment mode.
   All of this is more critical as we age. Dr Daniel Amen, renowned psychiatrist and author, says..."The older you get, the harder you have to work at staying healthy. As we age we have less room for error. We have to be constantly vigilant in our health.  According to Time Magazine, 75% of our Health Care Dollars are spent on preventable illnesses."  Start young;  Alzheimer's disease is the result of an accumulation of 20-30 years of poor choices and the same is true about dozens of preventable, chronic diseases. That does not mean you may be too old to start. Just like a smoker who quits, his body starts to heal and his lungs clear up.
   An additional benefit of the organic lifestyle is a longer life. A recent study revealed, every 10-gram increase of fiber intake was associated with a 15-percent lower risk of mortality, and those who ate the most fiber had a 25-percent reduced risk of dying from any cause within the next nine years, compared to those whose fiber intake was lacking. Research published in 2013 also found that for every seven grams more fiber you consume on a daily basis, your stroke risk is decreased by seven percent. This equates to increasing your consumption of fruits and vegetables by about two additional portions per day. (In case you don't know, part of normal processing is removing fiber from the fruit and vegetable based packaged items you buy in the center aisles of supermarkets.) 
   Many people who seem to have an aversion to most vegetables need to find a way to incorporate them in their daily food intake. I am not talking about putting ketchup on your french fries. Eating whole grain store-bought bread is also not the best source of fiber and may even be counterproductive. A high-grain diet tends to promote insulin and leptin resistance, and that actually promotes many of the chronic diseases that healthy fiber can help reduce, most notably type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.  The healthiest fiber is from raw vegetables and fruit. Try the following and it will soon become the solution you can live with...
   Wash and slice up an organic apple to eat where you would normally have chips as a side dish...organic carrots or celery works fine, as well. Actually, eating an apple 1/2 hour before a meal is a great appetite suppressor.
Slice up some raw organic green onion to add to any soup, like potato soup.
   If you have to eat pizza, include some green peppers and mushrooms. They add a lot of zest and nutrition, with fewer calories.
   Your body needs 30-40 grams of fiber per day. The bacterial slime that accumulates in the colon from too little fermented food, (which provides friendly bacteria) too little vegetable fiber and not enough water results in polyps and tumors. Colon cancer is no laughing matter.

 I raised an organic garden for the last 3 years. I started with a lot of on-line research and discovered some little tricks that took most of the work out of growing organic vegetables.The results were amazing. This year, I will be adding some permaculture ideas and using some free locally available wood chips instead of buying them, as I did last year. However, they need to be hardwood chips, not scrub trimmings from powerline right-of-ways, as a nursery owner told me. My best results came from burying soaker hose along side of each row dressing seedlings with organic mulch mixed plus manure and covering with wood chips.  I attached the soaker hose to a plastic drum which was collecting water from the downspouts on my garage. When there was not enough rain, I opened the spout on the drum and watered from underneath. This also reduces evaporation loss from top watering and is cheaper. Weeding was minimal and the result was a garden so overgrown with beautiful veggies, I could hardly get in it without stepping on squash or cucumbers or some other vegetable.   






   



The answer to expensive store bought organics is to raise your own food. Sprout it, can it, freeze it or ferment it. Prepare your own meals in quantity and freeze them in meal proportions. The hard work of raising an organic garden can be accomplished in almost any yard with sun, but the labor can be minimized by properly preparing the soil. I did it, so I know it can be done. Turn the soil as deep as possible and remove completely from the soil all the weeds you can find. Then plant marigolds all around the perimeter. (keeps most bugs out). Use composted manure mixed with soil around every organic plant or seeds. When the plants are large enough, weed one more time, then use wood mulch to cover the whole garden as deep as possible, without smothering the plant. That will prevent most weeds from continuing to infest your garden. All you have to add, after that, is water. I use my roof to collect water and a soaker hose to minimize the use of spraying with city water. I made a few mistakes with planting at the right time on some of my veggies, but I produced tremendous amounts in a very small area and froze a lot for winter consumption. Another piece of information that might be helpful, is to companion plant. There are lists on line of what plants to plant next to each other for optimal (symbiotic)support.

Sadly, they underestimate the tenacity of today's entrenched medical establishment. They are determined to keep all of us in the dark, so they can pursue the almighty dollar. 

This article was written 8 years ago. There was reason to be optimistic, but the medical establishment is determined to withhold any possible natural cures from patients, while experimenting with one dangerous drug after another on an uninformed public. They are practicing a "survival of the fittest" strategy that does occasionally result in a survivor. Then the claim is made that they cured his or her cancer and they are on the verge of a drug that will eradicate the dreaded disease like the polio vaccine did to polio. Nobody wants to see the onslaught of cancer continue, so the American Cancer Society promotes one PR campaign after another to raise money funding research. They have been doing so for over 50 years. The truth is that cancer is not a single disease and it cannot be cured with a drug. Cancer is like a lion that trails a herd of antelope. It chooses the weak animals to kill and consume. Like a lion, it victimizes people with the weakest immune systems. 

So, what should be the obvious solution to the cancer plague? THAT'S RIGHT! Build and maintain strong immunity! What do doctors say about this?  They often give lip service to this approach, but regularly belittle and castigate anyone who suggests that diet and lifestyle are largely responsible for cancer. Add to the poor diet and lifestyle, devoid of nutrition, a chemical laden environment, drugs (OTC and prescription), and smoking...what do you have? ...A CANCER COCKTAIL!

Why do most doctors support the standard chemotherapy, radiation or surgery protocols?  I believe it is MONEY, but you may have a better answer.
